Pedal for Primus 2008
Last year was a tremendous success.
40 riders cycled the 160 miles between each of the four professional clubs that Portsmouth Footballer Linvoy Primus has played for. Starting at Fratton Park on Friday 5th September 2008, the cyclists were transferred by coach to The Valley – home of Charlton Athletic. There they were met by Primus, along with former Addicks defender Richard Rufus. The route then took the group to Barnet, where Primus once again welcomed the riders.
Saturday's task was to get from Barnet to Reading. Upon arrival they were greeted by former Pompey defender Darren Moore. The last stretch on the Sunday saw the challengers leave the Madjeski Stadium and return to Fratton Park where the thrills and spills of a Fun Day awaited them.
